The White Mountains' Cog Railway
Tourism - New England

Mount Washington, New England's highest peak at 6,288 feet, is a part of the Presidential Range in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is said that the strongest wind ever known to man was recorded at it's summit.
The Cog Railway takes visitors on an interesting three hour roundtrip to the top of Mount Washington providing spectacular views of the mountains. The train stops halfway for a few minutes at a 45 degree angle. For the outdoor enthusiast there is the option of riding the train to the top and hiking back down.
